Will's Personal Rankdown

So, a trend I've noticed popping up on Pulse, is people revealing a group of random songs, and making a rankdown out of them. I'm jumping on the bandwagon. 

Edit - I will be revealing up to 30 songs, then hosting a rankdown of them.

I will reveal 1-2-3 songs per day, depending on how I'm feeling and at the end you guys will rank them in order of favourite to least favourite, like a normal rankdown.

Rules -
Tell me if you want to be tagged in the clues (they will likely be easy as I'm not the smartest with this stuff)
More rules will be added when all songs have been revealed

Song 1 is... Slide by Calvin Harris feat. Frank Ocean and Migos


Ever since it came out Slide has been a favourite song of mine, I absolutely love Frank Ocean, and while I don't particularly think his vocals here are great, he's still Frank Ocean. Quavo and Offset were pretty good here, for two basic trap rappers (and my two least favourite Migos members). However, the reason I love this so much is that godly Calvin Harris production that made his new album fantastic.

Explaining the clues: 
Clue #1: A penguin. Penguins are infamous for sliding.
Clue #2: Ocean. Frank Ocean.
Clue #3: The spotlight refers to the start of Quavo's verse, and it was a memorable part of the song for me (probably not anyone else lol).

The Blacker the Berry is a single off Kendrick's album To Pimp a Butterfly, that has punchy lyrics, emotion and incredible production courtesy of Boi-1da and Koz. The song received plenty of critical praise and was even named as Anthony Fantano's favourite single of 2015.  

Explaining the clues -
Clue #1: Berries. Blacker the berry. Pretty simple.
Clue #2: Lamar Odom. Kendrick Lamar.
Clue #3: A watermelon, that is in reference to a particularly memorable line about black food stereotypes that includes watermelons, chicken and kool-aid.

Alright I've made an executive decision that this one was too hard... probably because I forgot to add an element of 2nd clue. whoops. Therefore -

Song 3 is... Shining - DJ Khaled feat. Beyonce and Jay-Z

Shining is a single off of DJ Khaled's new album Grateful and has appeared on the hot 100 a few times, but performed a bit underwhelming, considering the all-star lineup of performers. I love Beyonce's part of the song, Jay-Z is solid and DJ Khaled is about as good as DJ Khaled can be (which isn't exceptional lol).

Explaining the clues -
Clue #1: Gold that was shining... I thought this would've helped more but I should've had an emphasis on shining.
Clue #2: J. Cole. J. Jay. Jay-Z. When I came up with this in my head, I wanted to put a big Z on the picture but I forgot, sorry.
Clue #3: James Harden. He was referenced in Jay-Z's verse, but I guess that would stick out to me (a big NBA fan) more than a normal listener. 
Don't roast me guys I know these were bad clues, and I'm gonna try and learn from it.
